Link text boxes so text flows between them

Linked text boxes let one story flow from box to box, the way a newsletter article continues on another page. Text that doesn’t fit in the first box moves on to the next one.

    1. Click the border of the first text box so the box is selected (not the text inside it).
    2. Click the Text Box tab, and in the Linking group click Create Link. You can also click Link text boxes just below the selected box.
    3. PubKeep asks you to choose where the story continues. Do one of these:
      • Click one of the highlighted text boxes.
      • Click an empty spot on the page to add a new text box there.
      • Go to another page first, then click a text box or an empty spot on that page.

The extra text now flows into the box you picked. If that box already had text, its text joins the end of the story. To keep going, select the last box in the story and link it the same way.

To stop without linking, click Cancel, or click Create Link again.

    1. Select a linked text box.
    2. On the Text Box tab, click Next or Previous to jump to the next or previous box in the story, even when it’s on another page.
    1. Select the box where you want the story to end.
    2. On the Text Box tab, click Break. You can also click Change text flow below the box and choose Break link after this box.

The story now ends in this box. All of its text stays with this box, even the part that doesn’t fit, and the boxes that came after it are left empty. Link this box again whenever you want the story to continue.

Select only one text box, and make sure it’s the last box in its story. A box that already continues into another one can’t start a second link. Use Break first, or select the last box.

The selected box doesn’t continue into another one. Select an earlier box in the story.

Boxes that are already in the same story, and boxes inside a group, can’t be linked to. Pick another box, or click an empty spot to make a new one.
