How to install PubKeep

It takes about a minute. Keep your invite email open, because you'll need it twice: once to download PubKeep, and once for your beta token. Then follow the steps for your computer below.

Which computer are you using?

Install on Windows

Click Download for Windows in your invite email

Open the email we sent you and click the Download for Windows button. Your browser saves the PubKeep installer to your Downloads folder.

Open the file from your Downloads

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the file whose name starts with PubKeep and ends in Setup.exe. You can also click it in your browser's list of downloads.

Your browser may ask whether you want to keep the file. That's normal for new apps. Choose Keep.

A blue box says “Windows protected your PC”

Don't worry, this is normal. Windows shows this box for new software it hasn't seen many times yet. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. Click the words More info.

Check the publisher, then click Run anyway

The box now shows more detail. Check that it says Publisher: Saint Systems, LLC. That's us, the company that makes PubKeep. Then click the Run anyway button.

PubKeep installs and opens by itself

There are no setup questions to answer and no administrator password to type. You'll see a small window while it installs, and then PubKeep opens on its own.

Paste your beta token

The first time PubKeep opens, it shows Activate PubKeep and asks for your beta token. Copy the token from your invite email and paste it into the box. It activates as soon as you paste, and you're in.

Open PubKeep again later

Next time, double-click the PubKeep icon on your desktop. Or click the Start button, type PubKeep, and press Enter.

Install on a Mac

Click Download for Mac in your invite email

Open the email we sent you and click the Download for Mac button. Your browser saves PubKeep to your Downloads folder.

Open the downloaded file

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the file whose name starts with PubKeep and ends in .dmg. A window opens showing the PubKeep icon and your Applications folder.

Drag PubKeep to Applications

In that window, drag the PubKeep icon onto the Applications folder and let go. When it finishes copying, you can close the window.

Open PubKeep from Applications

Open your Applications folder and double-click PubKeep. You can also find it in Launchpad, or press Command and Space together, type PubKeep, and press Return.

Open it from Applications, not from the window in step 2, so it stays installed.

Click Open if your Mac asks

The first time, your Mac may ask whether you're sure you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. This is normal. Apple checks PubKeep before it reaches you. Click Open.

Paste your beta token
