PubKeep the Publisher you Keep.

September 30, 2026

Goodbye Publisher, hello PubKeep.

Tomorrow Microsoft 365 loses Publisher. Today PubKeep is available to everyone.

On October 1, Publisher went away for Microsoft 365 subscribers. On October 13, support ends for the versions people bought outright. Your .pub files don't disappear, but the app that made them did. For a lot of church offices, schools, nonprofits and families, that is years of bulletins, newsletters, programs and calendars.

PubKeep is the answer we built for them. It's a desktop app for Windows and Mac that opens your .pub files and lets you keep editing them, just like always. Nothing re-flowed and nothing to rebuild. The ribbon works the way you're used to, so you don't have to relearn anything. When you're done, print it or save it to PDF. Your work saves as .pubk, an open format, so you're never locked in.

What it costs.

PubKeep is a one-time purchase. No subscription, and it keeps working even if you never pay for another update.

  • Founder license for 1 computer: $99
  • Founder license for 2 computers: $159
  • Licenses for 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 computers, for an office or a school: see volume pricing

Founder pricing is introductory and runs through October 31, 2026. Each license includes a year of updates.

If you only need PDFs.

Not everyone needs to keep editing. If you just want your archive saved, PubKeep Converter turns a whole folder of .pub files into exact PDFs, page for page. Your first 3 files are free.

What's next.

We're not done. More than 1,300 organizations have signed up for PubKeep, most of them churches. Every week PubKeep opens more files more faithfully, and the list of what's coming is driven by what you send us. If a file doesn't look right, use Report an issue in the app and tell us. A real person reads every one.

Publisher is gone. Your publications aren't.
